EBDIG

Die European Boat Design Innovation Group, kurz EBDIG entwickelt einen Fortbildungskurs für Yachtdesign. Das Kursmaterial bietet umfassende Lehrgänge an, im Bereich Yachtdesign und Visualisierung, Ergonomie und Kulturelle Faktoren. Es wird ein Verständnis über die Prinzipien der Yachtbauarchitektur und des Yachtbaus vermittelt sowie über nachhaltiges Yachtdesign informiert. Der Kurs integriert mittels eines Technologietransfers die High-End Designmethodik aus dem Bereich der Automobilkonzeption. Der Kurs soll ab September 2011 in Form einer flexiblen E-Learning Plattform online gehen und den infrage kommenden, europäischen Firmen dann auf Anfrage zugänglich gemacht werden.

EBDIG unterstützt somit die Europäische Yachtbauindustrie in ihrem Bestreben, sich durch das Konzipieren von Yachten mit höchster Designqualität im internationalen Wettbewerb bestens zu positionieren. Dieses Projekt entsteht durch die Zusammenarbeit Namhafter Universitäten und Firmen und wurde im Rahmen des Leonardo Da Vinci Programme for life long learning teils durch die EU finanziert.Zur Beratergruppe des Projektes gehören RINA (Royal Institute of Naval Architects, GB) und die BMF (British Marine Federation).
